Bracey’s Acquires Boutique Accountancy Firm

The accountancy practice which opened its first office in Hertfordshire in 2010 has announced, effective August 3, 2018, the successful acquisition of D.K Gardiner & Co. Founded in 1970, the boutique accountancy firm, located in Fife, serves small and medium-sized private enterprises and individuals.

“We are exceptionally excited to welcome the new practice into the Bracey group. David Gardiner, the previous owner, has built and sustained a great practice with great clients,” said Kirsty McGuckin, Director of Bracey’s Scottish offices. “This acquisition is an opportunity to increase capabilities and allow Bracey’s Scotland to serve a diverse range of clients across the region.”

“We are committed to providing a fully-integrated service that helps our customers manage and respond to the challenges and opportunities of their market sector and respective businesses.”

Bracey’s Accountants have offices across Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Midlothian and now Fife. The firm has grown sustainably since formation and continues to deliver a full range of accounts and tax services. From specialist tax projects to VAT requirements – delivered by a former HMRC VAT inspector – the focus is on using internal experts to provide the expertise needed to support a diverse client base.

When commenting on the sale, David Gardiner, the former owner, said:

I have purposely sought a buyer who really appreciates the business, understands how we operate and, most importantly, is keen and capable of driving the business forward and developing its potential.
