Migration To Accountancy Software
Ecovril were using accountancy software, however, it was not compatible with HMRC’s requirements for Making Tax Digital. So, the first step for Account Manager Farren Brooker was to introduce Xero; a global award-winning software and provide Ecovril with the necessary changing.
As Ecovril were just becoming VAT registered, Bracey’s in-house VAT Director Michele Harris, spoke with the company to ensure they were entering the right VAT scheme and clarified any VAT rules that would likely impact Ecovril now and in the future. During this process, the team worked to claim any additional VAT back and reduce liability where possible.
Working With Xero Accountancy Software
As a Xero Certified Advisor, Farren was able to provide full training on the new software and additional post-migration support to the Ecovril in-house bookkeeper. It also helped to address the client’s initial concerns around software security, ease of use and the benefits of Xero vs Sage.
