Emma is a highly experienced Chartered Accountant who qualified in 2010. She currently serves as the Lead Responsible Individual (RI) and audit specialist at Bracey’s Accountants. Her extensive practice background allows her to guide businesses through complex compliance requirements while ensuring robust financial governance.
Her diverse client portfolio consists predominantly of owner-managed businesses (OMBs) and UK subsidiaries of overseas corporate groups. She possesses sector expertise in construction businesses and businesses engaged in import/export. For these clients, Emma focuses on the design and implementation of highly effective internal systems and financial controls.
Beyond audit, Emma provides proactive strategic advice to business owners on corporate growth, cashflow management, and management reporting. She also deals corporation tax compliance while delivering integrated tax-saving strategies for both businesses and their owners.
Mark Hubbocks
Biography
Mark is an experienced auditor, business consultant and corporate finance specialist based in Hitchin, Hertfordshire. Mark deals with a portfolio of entrepreneurial clients together with a number of businesses with overseas interests. Mark has a very hands on approach and works in close partnership with the clients and the team.
Mark offers a full range of expertise from advice on business structures, systems and processes, remuneration strategies together with advice on growth and eventual exit. Mark is also an experienced non executive director and provides independent financial and strategic insight across a range of business sectors.
Outside of the office, Mark is a trustee of several local charities together with being Chair of Governors at a local primary school.
Mark is a history enthusiast and enjoys reading philosophy (Seneca, Marcus Aurelius, Machiavelli), playing cricket and also holds a Nidan grade in Shotokan karate.
Simon Johnson
Biography
Simon is an experienced accountant who qualified as an ACCA member in 2018. He currently serves as Associate Director at the Hitchin office, running a diverse portfolio of clients across a range of sectors.
Simon has broad experience working with SMEs, including group reporting requirements & strategy, statutory accounts, VAT, management accounts, corporation tax, personal tax, M&A and company valuations.
Beyond this, Simon provides proactive strategic advice to business owners on corporate growth, cashflow management, and management reporting.
